OUR CORE BUSINESS
Our core business includes sourcing, managing, marketing and logistical movements of a variety of agricultural products within Zambia and the neighbouring countries.
White and Yellow Maize
We procure white and yellow maize from subsistence and commercial farmers to government reservoirs for national food security and sustenance. We access excess maize for millers as well as for export.
Wheat, Sugar Beans, Sunflower
We buy, grade, and categorise wheat according to specific standards for use in processing for human consumption and animal feedstocks. We target both local and international markets.
Fertilizer
We source fertilizer from local manufacturers and distribute it within the country. We also export fertilizer to neighbouring countries. Our competitive prices help our clients to achieve me in their agricultural endeavours.
As Frelun Commodities, we monitor price movements and events on the local and international financial and agricultural markets. The data and events are captured on our database and analyzed for possible impacts on both local and ultimately international markets. Data and analysis are released through various forms of social & formal media, including SMS, WhatsApp and electronic market reports. Reports are also compiled on a contractual basis for large clients, provided on the client’s company logo and letterhead for redistribution to its clients.
The diversity of clients requires both short-term market analysis (on a daily or weekly basis) and longer-term (seasonal) strategic interpretations. Based on the custom-made requirements of clients, prices are made available daily. Live price and commodity monitoring screens are also provided for active clients who either trade or are hedging in the physical or futures market.
